SAP has introduced its new solution called the SAP Business Data Cloud designed to unify in-house and 3rd-party data across organizations with ease to allow a stronger foundation for informed decision-making and AI reliability.
Created to merge mission-critical application data with advanced data engineering and business analytics, this solution enables organizations to drive innovation and extract deeper insights. Thanks to Databricks which is one of SAP’s strategic partner, their cutting-edge technology tailored towards data engineering, machine learning, and AI workloads, can be seamlessly embedded within SAP’s ecosystem.
As the data product economy pretty much forming the basis of digital platforms these days, SAP Business Data Cloud delivers fully managed SAP data products across critical business processes, including finance, supply chain, and human resources, ensuring that these datasets retain their original business context and semantics. This eliminates the need for costly data extraction processes. For instance, a CFO assessing the impact of inflation on profitability can integrate real-time external data, such as the consumer price index, with SAP financial data products like general ledger accounts and cost centers to gain a holistic financial snapshot.
Additionally, SAP Business Data Cloud will introduce insight apps, leveraging data products and AI models linked to real-time data for advanced analytics and planning across various business functions, including enterprise analytics, finance, and HR.
On the other hand, the new platform also enhances the capabilities of Joule, SAP’s generative AI copilot, by improving cross-functional workflows and decision-making with AI agents. Built on the industry’s highest-quality enterprise dataset and the SAP Knowledge Graph, Joule agents gain a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end business processes, enabling seamless collaboration across functions to tackle complex challenges.
To further expand AI-driven innovation, SAP has introduced a suite of ready-to-use Joule agents across finance, sales, and service. In finance, these agents accelerate claims processing and enhance cash flow management, while Joule sales agents streamline multi-step processes for faster dispute resolution and customer inquiries.
SAP is also launching a new agent builder feature, allowing businesses to create and deploy their own AI agents alongside SAP’s existing Joule agents. This capability leverages SAP’s deep business process expertise, providing guided workflows to ensure custom agents are grounded in relevant data and business contexts.
