The ASUS/ROG Gamescom 2024 is a whole big list but for this post, we’ll be covering the gaming displays and network routers. Let’s start with the monitors first.

ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP 2

First up is the Swift OLED PG27AQDP, which proudly holds the title of the “world’s first 1440p 480Hz OLED monitor.” With a 26.5-inch display, it boasts a 0.03ms response time, an anti-glare coating to minimize distractions from RGB lighting, and a new RWGB subpixel layout for sharper text.

Additionally, it features a full suite of AI Assistant tools, including AI Visual, AI Crosshair, AI Sniper, AI ShadowBoost, and the MOBA Map Helper. Priced at $999, it offers a comprehensive package for gamers seeking top-tier performance.

ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG

Next is the Strix OLED XG27ACDNG, which shares similar specifications with the previous model but features a 360Hz refresh rate—still plenty fast. It sports a new heatsink design for improved thermal management and a centered base stand for a cleaner desk setup. There’s also a convenient mobile phone slot.

This model includes Dynamic Brightness Boost for enhanced luminance at low APL window sizes and AI Visual for automatic screen adjustments. Additionally, a USB-C 90W PD port is available for powering devices. This monitor is expected to be available as early as Q4 2024.

ROG Swift 360Hz PG27AQNR

Finally, the Swift 360Hz PG27AQNR offers a 27-inch LCD panel with a 360Hz refresh rate, G-SYNC, and the new Pulsar technology, which delivers superior motion clarity and Variable Refresh Rate for a smoother gaming experience. In terms of I/O, it includes DP 1.4 with DSC, 2x HDMI 2.1 ports, and a USB port for firmware updates. It is also scheduled for release in Q4 2024.

As always, ROG OLED monitors come with a 3-year warranty and OLED Care+ features, such as Taskbar Detection, Outer Dimming Control, and Global Dimming Control, to protect the panel. The ASUS DisplayWidget Center software, available across different monitor families and series, provides a wide range of customization options.

ROG New Routers Gamescom 2024

For the network equipment, we have the one at the top, the ROG Rapture GT-BE19000 packing the power of WiFi 7 with 320MHz channels in the 6GHz band. Armed with Multi-Link Operation (MLO) support and 4096-QAM boosting network capacity and throughput even more, a total of 19Gbps speed is possible with it.

It also has versatile WAN options like AI WAN detection enabled via the 2.5GbE or 10GbE port as well as LTE and 5G mobile tethering via USB. It also has a range of software like Guest Network Pro allowing the creation of up to 5 SSIDs in addition to Triple-Level Game Acceleration which is an optimized version of the network packet prioritization technique. Also, stay safe and well with AiProtection Pro offering robust security.

Meanwhile, the one on the left is the ASUS RT-BE86U (yes ASUS) built also with WiFi 7 in mind providing dual-band throughput of up to 6800MHz with MLO and 4096-QAM. It has 1x 10GbE and 2.5GbE, AI WAN detection, LTE/5G tethering, Guest Network Pro, AiProtection Pro, and VPN.

Lastly, the little stick is the ROG USB-BE92 WiFi 7 dongle that gives the power of the new WiFi tech to existing machines that don’t support it natively. The plug-and-play nature is expressed in both hardware and software thanks to the USB-A/USB-C interface and “no install” approach.
