MSI has officially debuted its latest Z890 motherboard lineup made for the brand new Intel Core Ultra 200S desktop processors.
Team Blue will be shipping a total of 5 models, namely the Core Ultra 9 285K, Core Ultra 7 265K/265KF, and Core Ultra 5 245KF/245KF. The Z890 chipset combined with the brand’s flexible tiers allows value buys like the PRO and MAG series up to the middle and high-end MPG and MEG family to cater to a wide variety of users.
Generally, the Z890 offers DRAM frequency support of up to 9200MT/s to go with the latest optimized BIOS plus features like AI Boost and Game Boost that dynamically adjust power curves and settings for the best balance of performance, power consumption, and stability at any given time with minimum user tuning.
They also came up with a new name ‘Ultra Connect’ that carries the combination of the best-in-class connectivity options of 2024 that packs Thunderbolt 4 + PCIe 5.0 + Intel Killer 5G LAN + Wi-Fi 7 for blazing fast speeds across peripherals and other networks.

- MPG Z890: 20-phase power with 110A smart power stages, Intel Killer networking and Thunderbolt 4 support in addition to efficient cooling make it suitable for mid-high tier builds without going over budget for just a motherboard
