One of the big announcements at the Lenovo Tech World 2024 expo by the host is more AI news that involves NVIDIA, particularly on solutions tailored to enterprise and industrial applications.

Lenovo x NVIDIA

For the consumer stuff, this new solution is called the ‘Lenovo Hybrid AI Advantage with NVIDIA‘ that provides full-stack AI capabilities with a library of customizable AI solutions to help customers overcome challenges in achieving ROI from AI as a recent study by Lenovo discovered that 61% of CIOs find it difficult to demonstrate ROI from AI investments. Therefore, this collaboration comes in clutch to help solve the issue with immense support from Team Green which is no doubt the strongest AI company in the world.

The partnership will see the enhancement of Lenovo AI Fast Start which accelerates AI deployment by helping businesses validate AI use cases on Personal AI, Enterprise AI, and Public AI platforms within weeks with the power of the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software platform, which includes tools like NVIDIA NIM microservices and NVIDIA NeMo for quick building and deploying of various Gen-AI solutions tailored to their unique business needs, ensuring real-world relevance and scaling rapidly.

On the other hand, the Lenovo AI Library offers a collection of proven AI use case accelerators, covering key domains such as marketing, IT operations, legal, product development, and customer service that were built on NVIDIA AI Enterprise and soon include NVIDIA Omniverse for fully customizable solutions. They are also partnering up with other AI innovators and partners to integrate NVIDIA NIM Agent Blueprints in the future.

Lenovo will also help those who are struggling to integrate or extract value from AI technologies through its Data and Technology Foundations for AI service that can help customers assess their readiness and take practical steps to modernize their data, applications, and cloud infrastructure. Lenovo leverages NVIDIA’s accelerated computing, networking, software, and AI models to help customers maximize the value of their investments.

NVIDIA GB200 Solutions

For the hardware partnership, Lenovo will be introducing the ThinkSystem N1380 Neptune chassis with 6th-generation vertical liquid cooling technology as well as the ThinkSystem SC777 V4 Neptune packing the upcoming NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs and when combined, can enable 100KW+ server racks to operate without specialized air conditioning, pioneering a new approach to data center design by focusing power on cooling in the AI age.

Specifically, the ThinkSystem N1380 Neptune chassis is designed for standard 19-inch racks while eliminating the need for cooling fans, resulting in lower TCO for the long run especially for business and data centers prepared to embrace Blackwell. It is also flexible and scalable as it can tuned from a 13U enclosure to full racks, with eight tray slots and four 15kW power conversion stations for maximum efficiency.

On the other hand, the ThinkSystem SC777 V4 Neptune also supports NVIDIA’s next-gen Quantum-X800 InfiniBand and Spectrum-X800 Ethernet platforms for high-performance networking, as well as NVIDIA AI Enterprise, a cloud-native software platform designed to streamline AI solution development and deployment.

This combination allows Lenovo to stand and offer as another option in bringing NVIDIA GB200 rack systems to the enterprise market, offering advanced cooling that ensures all system components operate at optimal temperatures for unprecedented AI training and computing prowess.

And of course, Lenovo also has its own TruScale GPUaaS for on-demand, zero upfront cost GPU service as well as Lenovo Power and Cooling Services optimizing complex AI workloads.
