After securing a win in the Red Dot Award 2024 for the Product Design category, Kingston has given the XS1000 External SSD a fresh new coat of red paint.

Kingston XS1000 Red Color Launch

The new addition complements the existing XS1000 in black as well as the XS2000 in silver. The 29g lightweight storage device is capable of delivering read speeds of up to 1050MBps which is pretty cool for usage like editing high-resolution video footage directly through the SSD without moving files.

Aside from being certified to work seamlessly with iPhone 15, the USB C-to-A and USB A-to-C adapters ensure the external SSD is ready to serve any system of modern and legacy in addition to being cross-platform compatible from PCs and Macs to game consoles and smart TVs.

Kingston also had some words for the release of the red-adorned XS1000:

“Building on the success of the all-black XS1000, we’ve introduced a new colorway for those customers looking to stand out and express themselves through color. With the addition of XS1000 red, they now have more options for external storage and can expand their digital library with an award-winning design.”

The Kingston XS1000 is currently available for purchase in capacities of 1TB and 2TB.
