Let’s go – AMD’s latest mid-high GPU, the Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs has debuted and fans will be able to get one starting this week.
Featuring the Radeon RX 9070 and Radeon RX 9070, Team Red is still focusing on bringing value to the table when competitor NVIDIA is still being stingy about starting its GeForce RTX 50 series with at least 12GB. Aiming for ultra high FPS in 1440p and superior performance at 4K, the RDNA-4 based cards are said to perform generally 20% better than last-gen’s Radeon RX 7900 GRE.
Here’s a quick rundown of both cards’ core specs.
Model | Radeon RX 9070 | Radeon RX 9070 XT |
Compute Units (CU) | 56 | 64 |
VRAM | 16GB | 16GB |
Boost Clock | 2520MHz | 2970MHz |
Peak AI TOPS | 1165 | 1557 |

They have also elevated the software part to fully support the brand new architecture via FSR 4 to provide tons of FPS improvement in 4K mode. Aside from that, one can also expect better ray tracing performance as well as the new Neural Rendering to go with all sorts of existing features like Frame Generation, Radeon Anti-Lag, and more.

The AMD Radeon RX 9070 will start from US$549 while the Radeon RX 9070 XT is from US$599 respectively.
