Acer’s IFA 2024 key announcement has shown off quite a number of industry-leading products as well as a couple of “never seen before” projects so let’s see what’s in for gamers.

Acer Project DualPlay

First, we have the super cool Project DualPlay that aims to revitalize couch gaming through the portability and performance of laptops. For starters, the touchpad of the laptop has been custom-designed to double as a detachable wireless controller, unlockable through a simple 2-finger-gesture placed on the electromagnetic lock. After that, a set of 2x 5W speakers comes out from the sides to pump more adrenaline through sheer amplitude.

Got a buddy with you? Then “Switch” it up by splitting the joysticks and let Player 2 join in with ease. Additionally, it comes packed with RGBs around the keyboard + screen bezels + trackpad area for maximum rainbow ooze and that’s not counting the infinity mirror lighting bar at the back.

Since this is just a concept and prototype, specs details are not revealed to the public just yet.

Acer Nitro Blaze 2

Next up, yes, Acer is joining the handheld gaming PC as well with the Nitro Blaze 7. Packing an AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processor with Radeon 780M iGPU and a 7-inch FHD IPS touchscreen, one can enjoy smooth gameplay with this device in 144Hz mode with FreeSync Premium eliminating tears and chops. It will come with Windows 11 and pre-installed with Acer Game Space which is a native interface that hosts all the game launchers and whatnot.

Acer Nitro Blaze

The 16GB LPDDR5X-7500 provides ample space for running the system and games together as well as the up to 2TB PCIe SSD storing all the big titles at once. Aside from a couple of USB4s and a microSD card reader for fast connection and even more storage, the WiFi 6E chip helps you download games quickly and you’ll need that because Acer will be including a 3-month Xbox PC Game Pass code to get all the available titles.

Battery-wise, it is a 50WHr unit and comes with a 65W USB-C adapter.

Acer Nitro XV270U F5

Continuing the Nitro streak, we have the new “UltraSpeed” gaming display that falls under the Nitro family with some crazy specs of 24-inch @ 600Hz and 27-inch @ 520Hz and they are called the Nitro XV240 F6 and XV270 F5 respectively. The former boasts VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and 95% DCI-P3 color gamut while the latter is HDR10-certified.

Those who want higher resolution have an option too – the Nitro XV270U F5 offering 27-inch of QHD goodness at 500Hz + 0.5ms in addition to HDR10 and 99% DCI-P3 color gamut.

Acer Predator XB273 V

Now for the Predator stuff, we have the XB273U F5 offering QHD + 360Hz combo as well as the brand new NVIDIA G-SYNC Pulsar technology providing 4x more effective motion clarity for smoother and tear-free variable refresh rate as well as 90% DCI-P3, HDR, and 550-nit peak brightness.

Another one is the 4K @ 160Hz / FHD @ 320Hz XB273K V5 with FreeSync Premium and yes, this is the DFR tech-infused display. It also has VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and a 95% DCI-P3 color gamut.

Both of them share the good point of up to 0.5ms response time and 178-degree viewing angle in addition to 2x HDMI 2.1 and 1x DP 1.4 ports for maximum connectivity that pairs well with adjustment options of tilt+swivel+pivot+height.

Acer Predator Orion 7000

Still in the Predator zone, we have some new beefy desktop PCs starting with the Orion 7000 refreshed with next-gen Intel CPUs and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 cooled by the in-house patented Predator CycloneX 360 system fan and CPU liquid cooler.

The thermal solution utilizes a 3-in-1 fan setup and specially engineered flow channel with maximum effectiveness while the 360mm CPU liquid cooler further drives the temperature down so that everything can be powered to their best potential.

Aside from the usual PredatorSense app offering many utilities and customization, onboard features include Thunderbolt 4, WiFi 7, up to 4TB HDD and 6TB PCIe SSD support.

Oh, it also comes with a 3-month Xbox PC Game Pass as well.

Acer Nitro V 14 White

For gaming laptop fans, the Nitro V 14 is a new eye-catcher thanks to the new shiny white paint. It comes with a nice combo of up to an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU combo to go with up to 32GB DDR5 RAM and 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Therefore, it is not only mighty in gaming but also pretty efficient thanks to the CPU itself.

One can also acquire the model with screen options of WQXGA or WUXGA, both 120Hz + 3ms + 100% sRGB with MUX switch.

Acer Nitro V 16

Just a quick mention that there’s Nitro V 16 as well (Although no white color at the moment) blessed with up to an Intel Core i7-14650HX CPU + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU + 32GB RAM + 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD at the very top. The screen can go as high as 180Hz at WQXGA resolution.
